This place is the Head House of Nongam Lee Hyeonbo. He is a representative literator and governor of the Joseon Dynasty who wrote poems about the beauty of nature. After his death, the government bestowed a posthumous epithet of Sir Hyojeol for him in 1555, praising his filial duty and integrity. The house is located at Gasong-ri, Dosan-myeon, Andong-si, which is to the upper stream of Nakdonggang River on a hill of Cheongryangsan mountain. 'Gasongri' is a village with beautiful pine trees, as the name means. It is a lyrical and pastoral village where you can fully enjoy the sceneries of a village nearby hillside and riverside. In the vicinity area, there are Dosanseowon Confucian School, Advanced Center for Korean Studies, Ocheon Relics (Gunja Village), Toegye Head House, Lee Yuksa Birthplace, etc.
